For those people most at risk, climate change is a crisis today. The rights, interests, and needs of those affected must take centre stage as an issue of global social justice.

Climate change is the defining issue of our era. Hardly a day passes without a newspaper, a broadcast or politician making at least one reference to the threats it poses and the urgency of taking action, immediately to limit the effects and, in the longer term, to adapt to the changes that are sure to come.

Exercises:

After they have read the material for each unit, students are expected to test their own learning by completing some relevant exercises and tasks.

Assignments:

In order to demonstrate their understanding of the course content, students will be required to submit three assignments.
