SHAHKAR (SSSRO) is a distinguished non-political, non-profit, and non-governmental local organization established in 2013 and registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. - Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the EU Call Project for Health, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), and Protection Interventions. The successful candidate will ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with EU regulations and organizational policies.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Implementation:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of health, WASH, and protection activities in alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Ensure the project adheres to the EU funding requirements and organizational policies.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish and maintain a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess project progress and impact.
- Regularly review project performance and adapt strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Prepare and submit timely progress reports and documentation to stakeholders, including donors and senior management.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage the project team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective collaboration and performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and foster a positive working environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Represent the organization at meetings, workshops, and conferences related to health, WASH, and protection interventions.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with approved budgets and donor guidelines.
- Monitor financial performance, ensuring accountability and transparency in all financial transactions.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges that may impact project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols for staff and beneficiaries.
- Capacity Building:
- Support the capacity building of local staff and partners in project implementation and management.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge in health, WASH, and protection interventions.
- Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in health, WASH, or protection interventions.
- Experience working with EU-funded projects is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
