Job Purpose:
The Project Field Officer will ensure the effective implementation of the education and protection project activities within schools and beyond through mobile team, aiming to enhance the integration between mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) and educational services, Additionally, He/ She will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the progress of activities, as well as ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations, reporting requirements, quality standards, and procedures of the project.”
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute activities related to the education and protection project efficiently and effectively, both within and outside schools, in collaboration with the mobile team.
- Supervise the progress of activities and ensure the achievement of project objectives.
- Develop detailed work plans and activity programs and update them regularly as needed.
- Produce timely reports for internal use on activities at each site, highlighting challenges, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Properly document all project-related documents and reports.
- Monitor logistics, administrative, and field activities daily.
- Monitor and document the progress of activities, identify challenges and lessons learned to improve performance in the future.
- Assist in identifying the project’s needs for goods and services and regularly monitor the procurement process.
- Hold weekly team meetings with project staff for planning purposes, information sharing and problem-solving.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- • A bachelor’s degree or an intermediate institute diploma in relevant fields such as international development, political science, economics, sociology, psychology, health, or other related fields is required, with preference given to candidates holding degrees in gender studies, protection, or community development.
- 3 years of work experience in NGOs/INGOs.
- Previous experience in child protection and education programs.
- Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong listening skills and the ability to deal with sensitive situations with integrity.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working on and mainstreaming gender issues.
- The confidence and good judgment to manage situations relating to poor conduct/behavior towards a child.
- Ability to work within a fluid situation (changes within the team, program locations).
