Who we are?

IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.

IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host community through 20 healthcare facility and other health and nutrition projects

During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Survey of malnutrition cases in pregnant and lactating women and children.
Refer people with malnutrition to nearby centers.
– Rapid assessment of the breastfeeding status according to the rapid model and according to the results of the rapid assessment, basic messages about the IYCF and advice on correct practices are communicated.
Distributing nutritional supplements for healthy children.
Distribution of vitamin pills for pregnant and lactating women.
– To start implementing the CMAM program in the case of a fixed or semi-fixed position.
The nutrition technician dispenses treatment for a week for malnourished children and women and provides them with a referral card to nearby centers.
– Strictly adhere to humanitarian and protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including the Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection

Required Qualifications:

Certified nutrition technician or nutritionist
Three years’ work experience
Good organizational and time management skills, communication and reporting
the ability to work under pressure
