Job Purpose
The HR Volunteer will support the Human Resources Department in daily administrative and operational tasks related to HR processes, including recruitment, staff data management, documentation, and employee support. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in HR functions within a humanitarian and development organization, contributing to efficient HR operations across Syrian Forum offices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Selection Support
- Assist in posting job advertisements, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
- Support HR staff during interview arrangements and documentation.
- Ensure candidate files and recruitment documentation are properly organized and archived.
- Maintain and update personnel files (soft and hard copies) in line with SF HR policies.
- Support in collecting and verifying staff documents and ensuring completeness of HR records.
- Assist in preparing HR correspondence, letters, and memos when required.
- Help with onboarding new employees, including preparing orientation materials and welcoming packages.
- Support the HR team in maintaining and updating the HR database and tracking systems.
- Assist in collecting and inputting HR-related data such as attendance, leave records, and training participation.
- Help generate simple reports and summaries when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the HR Coordinator or HR Manager.
Qualifications (Education/Work Experience)
- Basic understanding of HR functions and procedures.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Good English Skills
