Position Purpose
The Health & Nutrition Assistant provides programmatic and technical support to health and nutrition projects implemented across Jordan, Gaza, and Syria. Based in Amman, the position supports country and regional teams in the organization, coordination, and documentation of health and nutrition activities to ensure effective implementation and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Implementation Support:
• Support the implementation of health and nutrition activities in coordination with country teams.
• Follow up on activity progress, timelines, and deliverables.
• Assist teams in addressing implementation gaps and operational challenges.
• Support alignment between approved workplans and ongoing activities.
2. Coordination with Teams:
• Coordinate with health and nutrition teams across Jordan, Gaza, and Syria.
• Support coordination between program teams and MEAL, finance, logistics, and HR units.
• Assist in organizing coordination meetings, calls, and implementation planning.
• Facilitate cross-country information sharing and updates.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL):
• Coordinate with MEAL teams on indicator tracking and reporting timelines.
• Support follow-up on data collection, consolidation, and review.
• Assist in tracking beneficiary feedback and accountability actions.
4. Reporting & Documentation:
• Support preparation of donor and internal reports.
• Assist in compiling narrative and quantitative inputs.
• Maintain program trackers, files, and shared documentation.
5. Meetings & Follow-Up:
• Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action points.
• Maintain organized records related to health and nutrition programming.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Nursing, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience supporting health or nutrition programs.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with multiple teams and deadlines.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with donor reporting.
• Experience supporting multi-country or remote-managed programs.
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with MHPSS or child protection programming environments.
• Experience supporting reporting or MEAL-related processes.
