Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Preferred bachelor’ or master’s degree in a related field (Law/ Psychology/ Social Studies or Business Administration, English literature, etc.), humanitarian studies, or International Development. Significant relevant work experience in these specific areas will be considered as an added value.
General Work Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in managing or coordinating protection-related projects, including roles such as Protection Project Manager, Child Protection Project Manager, or GBV Project Coordinator. Demonstrated understanding of the General Protection sector, with solid knowledge of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Child Protection programming.

Main Responsibilities:
Project Management and Implementation:
- Manage the successful day-to-day implementation and completion of assigned AFH Protection projects, ensuring effective and accountable project delivery.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed implementation plans, procurement plans, human resource plans, and spending plans.
- Ensure project activities are implemented in alignment with contractual obligations, donor/partner policies, and organizational procedures.
- Guarantee that all project interventions address community priorities and beneficiary needs.
- Oversee the implementation of project activities to high-quality standards, adhering to relevant international and sectoral benchmarks (e.g., Sphere Standards, GBVIE Minimum Standards, Child Protection Minimum Standards [CPMS], International Mine Action Standards [IMAS], and Core Humanitarian Standards [CHS]).
- Coordinate closely with the Area Program Manager in Idleb and the Protection Technical Advisor to ensure smooth project implementation and progress tracking.
- Collaborate with other departments on all matters related to assigned projects.
Financial and Resource Management
- Manage project budgets effectively and interpret financial reports to ensure accurate financial oversight.
- Prepare, track, and follow up on project financial requests.
- Ensure financial risks are appropriately managed in coordination with the finance team.
- Team Leadership and Capacity Building
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop project staff to ensure strong performance and professional growth.
- Manage the project team efficiently to promote collaboration and accountability.
Coordination and Communication:
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with partners, donors, and local authorities to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Participate in Protection Cluster, Sub-Cluster, Working Group, and Partner coordination meetings as required.
- Ensure strong collaboration and coordination across sectors, particularly with the Education Program in multisectoral projects.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Compliance
- Ensure comprehensive project documentation and maintain organized records of project data and evidence.
- Oversee the timely submission of all internal and external reports (weekly, monthly, interim, and final) — both narrative and financial to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and manage programmatic, financial, safety, security, and reputational risks throughout the project lifecycle.
