Location: Damascus

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible of supporting supply chain team according to ONSUR procedure and work closely with all sectors to ensure that planned activities are implemented accordingly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing assets, ensuring items meet specifications and archiving them as well as sending reports to the Logistics Officer to keep asset lists up to date.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date PR Tracker in coordination with the Program department & Finance.
  • Follow up in a timely manner with Suppliers for all urgent requirements.
  • Archiving procurement documents as hard and soft copy (Share point).
  • Assist in bid evaluation and ensure Competitive Bid Analysis (CBA), Technical Evaluation and Minutes of Meeting (MOM) are signed and archived.
  • Maintaining good communication with warehouse staff in field ONSUR offices.
  • Follow up daily vehicle log sheet (V.L.S) and records and assigning of all mechanical transport as required.
  • Ensure all purchase requests (PRs) are tracked until to final receipt.
  • Maintenance office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues.
  • Conducting a market assessment, including finding suppliers in the market & updating vendor lists.
  • Assistance in announcing procurement tenders inside Türkiye.
  • Assist in organizing and managing contracts/PO.
  • Follow up the procurement cycle in coordination with the financial department.
  • Manage the use of office space, ensure building maintenance and repairs, and ensure compliance with health and safety.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of all assets of the office.
  • Check all office assets and premises based on the Semi-annual inventory.
  • Responsible for the daily functioning of the office building, including utilities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • University Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or any other related field.
  • Minimum of 02 years professional experience in procurement. With 1 year Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organization
  • Very good command in Arabic, and English and in writing and speaking.
  • Able to work under pressure, able to multitask, excellent team player and able to work in a multinational environmental
  • organized, able to multi-task, flexible, and able to work as a team.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel skills.
  • Good communication skills.
